You must read and accept all of the terms and conditions contained in this User Agreement before you may become a member of awoof.net.

We may amend this User Agreement at any time by posting the amended terms on the Site, all amended terms shall automatically be effective immediately they are posted on the Site. This Agreement is effective upon acceptance in registration for new registering users, and is otherwise effective on July 1, 2004 for existing users.

Membership Eligibility.
Our services are available only to, and may only be used by individuals who can form legally binding contracts under Nigerian law. Without limiting the foregoing, our services are not available to children (persons under the age of 18) or to temporarily or indefinitely suspended members and persons proven to be mentally unstable. If you are under the age of 18, you can use this service only in conjunction with, and under the supervision of your parents or guardians. If you do not qualify, please do not use our Site

Fees and Services.
Joining and accessing products on Awoof.net is free. We charge fees for transactions completed through our Site ("Transaction fee") and we also charge shipping fees. The Transaction Fee is a percentage of the final sale price calculated as shown below:

International-Affiliate shipping (outside Nigeria)

A £5.00 flat-shipping-fee is charged per kilogram NET weight (plus packaging) of the item(s) purchased via Awoof.net international affiliates. Items that weigh less than one kilogram are still charged the standard 1 kilogram fee.

Local shipping (within Nigeria)
Free shipping within the Lagos metropolis for items over =N=100,000. For items that cost from =N= 99,999 and below, we charge a shipping fee of 5% of the total cost of the item(s) (i.e. including administrative charges). Click here to see shipping charges for outside Lagos. The buyer is responsible for payment of all fees. Below are the accepted payment methods allowed by Awoof.net:

Credibility
We have no control over the quality, safety or legality of the items advertised, the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of sellers to sell items or the ability of buyers to pay for items. We cannot ensure that a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction. Consequently, we do not transfer legal ownership of items from the seller to the buyer

Release.
In the event that you have a dispute with one or more users, you release awoof.net (and our officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures and employees) from claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes

Fraud. Without limiting any other remedies, awoof.net may suspend or terminate your account if we suspect that you (by conviction, settlement, insurance or escrow investigation, or otherwise) have engaged in fraudulent activity in connection with the Site.
Restricted Activities. Your Information (or any items listed) and your activities on the Site shall not: (a) be false, inaccurate or misleading; (b) be fraudulent or involve the sale of counterfeit or stolen items; (c) infringe any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy; (d) violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, antidiscrimination or false advertising); (e) be defamatory, trade libelous, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing; (f) be obscene or contain child pornography (h) create liability for us or cause us to lose (in whole or in part) the services of our ISPs or other suppliers;

DELIVERY
Awoof.net will provide door-to-door delivery services for items ordered by users who have: (a) paid appropriate shipping fees; (b) qualify for FREE shipping; (c) registered addresses are within the areas serviced by Awoof.net.
For international shipping (from outside Nigeria), items will be shipped to the user within 10 (ten) days of the items reaching our u.k. offices.

Return/Replacement Policy

Awoof.net will provide as detailed and accurate a description of items as possible. Images are a graphical representation of the actual item. If unsure of the quality, description or properties (e.g. size, texture etc) please call our helpline on 01-8941746 or email your query to contactus@awoof.net. Awoof.net generally operates a NON-REFUND – NO-RETURN policy. Users are therefore advised to ensure proper scrutiny of items before purchase. Items purchased via Awoof.net qualify for return/replacement only if:
(a) the item(s) is/are defective, damaged or incorrect; (b) the item(s) is/are returned to us in it’s/their original condition within 3 days of delivery un-tampered with (with all seals and shrink-wraps intact) as items tampered with render the return policy void. If items fulfill these given criteria, a full refund will be given to the user within 30 days of ordering.
There will be NO Returns/Replacements on:
(c) Perishable, branded or customized items; (d) delivery and administrative charges; (e) items that are NOT damaged, defective or incorrect; (f) items that have been tampered with thereby rendering their warranty void: (g) items delivered in good/ working condition.

Breach.
Without limiting other remedies, we may limit your activity, immediately remove your bids or item listings, warn our community of your actions, issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your membership and refuse to provide our services to you if: (a) you breach this Agreement or the documents it incorporates by reference; (b) we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us; or (c) we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our users or us.
